Muisti - Memory Timo Sarpaneva designed 1996 a "Muisti (Memory)" glass sculpture for Alzheimer Society of Finland´s fund raiser. The golden memory project was very important for Sarpaneva.
He was very dedicated to the work for improving the quality of life of those suffering from dementitive diseases and helping their families. Sarpaneva Design continues this charity by releasing a limited number of "Memory" sculptures for sale. The sculptures come in two different sizes. The larger model is numbered and signed by Timo Sarpaneva and the smaller is signed aswell. Sculptures are constructed from a guilded railroad nail and a glass ball.
The prices are 490 eur and 390 eur. Every sculpture sold improves the quality of life of people with dementia and their caregivers.

The Galea auction
Sarpaneva Design Ltd auctioned the largest "Kajakki -Kayak" glass scupture ever made for charity during the Tall Ships´ Races Turku 2009 in 23 th of July 2009.
 The proceedings of the auction were handed over to:
- Finnish Boating Association / The Boating School for children and youngsters
-The John Nurminen Foundation
-Protection Fund for the Archipelago Sea.
